My pit can entertain himself for hours with a chew toy but few toys survive more than a week. Ordered one of the “ultra” toys back in February and four months later, it’s still intact. If you have a aggressive chewer who’s torn up every other toy, these (admittedly rather goofy looking) chews are the way go.

I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and this is the only toy he doesn’t destroy within one day.

Yes indeed,
The doggie destructors! Who could tear apart a toy in no time, may have met their match. During supervised playtime the toy has withstood the Labs torture. Time will tell, but so far so good…
8/2008 Update!
9 months later and the Giant Doggie terrorists have yet to do damage to these toys. I am amazed.

Basically, you can use this toy in the way a lot of parents use the TV with their kids. It is a great way to occupy your dog’s attention. Stuff it with Kong paste or peanut butter (our dogs’ favorite) or other squishy material and treats, pop it in the freezer for an hour or so and wham! Rowdy zoomy pups are entranced with the tasty surprise inside. Freezing it especially helped when our pup was teething, and it makes the dog work harder to get what is inside. Dogs need to chew, and both of ours love to chew this. We have an 85 and a 110 lb German Shepherd, and these are the ONLY toys we have actually had for years. The black ones are much stronger for aggressive chewers than the red ones. The XL works for the 85 lb and the XXL for our 110 lb dog.

She always loved the “original” Kong, but unfortunately would usually destroy it in just a day or two. She still hasn’t met anything “indestructible”, but this is the first and only chew-toy that she can lovingly munch at day after day, which lasts for months at a time. It’s about time!
